Terms of Service

This English version is a reference translation. The Japanese version is the legally binding text.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for using "Janreco" (the "Service"), a service provided on this website. Registered users (each, a "User") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)
  1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships between Users and the Service in connection with the use of the Service.
  2. In connection with the Service, various rules and other provisions regarding use (the "Individual Provisions") may be established in addition to these Terms. Regardless of their name, such Individual Provisions shall constitute part of these Terms.
  3. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a provision of the Individual Provisions referred to in the preceding paragraph, the provision of the Individual Provisions shall prevail unless otherwise specified therein.
Article 2 (Registration)
  1. Registration for the Service shall be completed when a prospective registrant agrees to these Terms, applies for registration by the method prescribed by the Service, and the Service approves such application.
  2. The Service may decline an application for registration if it determines that the applicant falls under any of the following, and shall be under no obligation to disclose the reason for such refusal.
    • The applicant has made a false statement in the registration application
    • The application is made by a person who has previously violated these Terms
    • The Service otherwise determines that the registration is not appropriate
Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)
  1. Users shall be responsible for appropriately managing their own user ID and password for the Service.
  2. Users may not transfer, lend, or share their user ID or password with any third party. If a login is made with a user ID matching the registered information, the Service shall deem the use to have been made by the User who registered that user ID.
  3. The Service shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any damage arising from the use of a user ID and password by a third party.
Article 4 (Usage Fees)
  1. The Service offers a free plan and a paid plan (the "Pro Plan").
  2. The free plan allows use of basic features at no cost, but some features are limited.
  3. The paid plan (Pro Plan) allows unrestricted use of all features. The fees are as follows:
    • Monthly plan: ¥390 (tax incl.) / month
    • Yearly plan: ¥3980 (tax incl.) / year
  4. Fees for the paid plan are charged in advance at the time of application.
  5. A free trial period of 14 days is provided upon a User’s first subscription to a paid plan. No fee will be charged if you cancel during the trial period. After the trial period ends, the fee for the plan you applied for will be charged automatically.
  6. The Service may offer a limited-time discount to Users who meet certain conditions. The discount applies only to the first billing period, and the regular fee will apply from the second billing period onward. Details of the discount (eligible plans, discount amount, validity period, etc.) shall be as indicated when the offer is presented.
  7. The only accepted payment method is credit card payment.
  8. Paid plans renew automatically. To cancel, please complete the cancellation procedure from My page by the day before the next renewal date.
  9. Fees already paid will not be refunded, in principle, except as required by law.
  10. Fees and payment terms may be changed with prior notice.
Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

Users shall not engage in any of the following acts in using the Service.

  1. Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
  2. Acts related to criminal activity
  3. Acts that infringe upon copyrights, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights contained in the Service, including its content
  4. Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of servers or networks of the Service, other Users, or any other third party
  5. Acts of using information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes
  6. Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Service
  7. Unauthorized access, or attempts thereof
  8. Acts of collecting or accumulating personal information about other Users
  9. Acts of using the Service for fraudulent purposes
  10. Acts that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other Users of the Service or to any other third party
  11. Acts of impersonating another User
  12. Advertising, promotion, solicitation, or business activities on the Service that are not permitted by the Service
  13. Acts intended to meet members of the opposite sex whom you have not previously met
  14. Acts of providing, directly or indirectly, benefits to antisocial forces in connection with the Service
  15. Any other act that the Service determines to be inappropriate
Article 6 (Suspension of the Service, etc.)
  1. The Service may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users if it determines that any of the following applies.
    • When performing maintenance, inspection, or updates of the systems related to the Service
    • When it becomes difficult to provide the Service due to force majeure such as earthquake, lightning, fire, power outage, or other natural disaster
    • When a computer or communication line is stopped due to an accident
    • When the Service otherwise determines that providing the Service is difficult
  2. The Service shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any disadvantage or damage suffered by Users or third parties as a result of the suspension or interruption of the provision of the Service.
Article 7 (Restriction of Use and Deregistration)
  1. The Service may, without prior notice, restrict a User’s use of all or part of the Service or deregister the User if the User falls under any of the following.
    • When the User violates any provision of these Terms
    • When it is discovered that the registration information contains a false statement
    • When there is no response for a certain period to contact from the Service
    • When there has been no use of the Service for a certain period since the last use
    • When the Service otherwise determines that the User’s use of the Service is not appropriate
  2. The Service shall bear no responsibility for any damage incurred by a User as a result of any action taken by the Service under this Article.
Article 8 (Withdrawal)

A User may withdraw from the Service through the withdrawal procedure prescribed by the Service.

Article 9 (Disclaimer of Warranty and Exemption from Liability)
  1. The Service makes no express or implied warranty that the Service is free of de facto or legal defects (including defects, errors, bugs, and infringement of rights relating to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a particular purpose, and security).
  2. The Service shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any damage incurred by a User.
  3. The Service shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any transaction, communication, or dispute arising between a User and another User or a third party.
Article 10 (Changes to the Service, etc.)

The Service may change, add to, or discontinue the content of the Service without prior notice to Users, and Users agree to accept such changes.

Article 11 (Changes to the Terms of Service)
  1. The Service may change these Terms without obtaining the individual consent of Users.
  2. If a User uses the Service after a change to these Terms, the User shall be deemed to have agreed to the Terms as changed.
Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)

Personal information obtained through the use of the Service shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 13 (Legal Notice under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act)

Regarding the Service’s paid plan, the Legal notice is set forth separately.

Article 14 (Notices or Communications)

Notices or communications between a User and the Service shall be made by the method prescribed by the Service. The Service shall treat the currently registered contact information as valid, send notices or communications to that contact information, and such notices or communications shall be deemed to have reached the User at the time of transmission.

Article 15 (Prohibition of Assignment of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not assign or pledge as collateral their position under the usage agreement or any rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without prior consent.

Article 16 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
  1. The interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Service’s operator shall be the exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
