FAQ

You can sign up in either of the following two ways:

• Sign up with email and password: Click the link in the confirmation email you receive after signing up to complete registration
• Sign up with a Google account: Just select your Google account from the "Sign up with Google" button on the sign-up screen to complete registration (no confirmation email needed)

You don't need to set a password. You'll also use Google authentication to log in.
If you want to set a password later, you can do so from "Click here to set a password" on the account edit screen in My Page. Once set, you can also log in with your email and password.

Yes. If you log in with Google using a Google account that has the same email address as your registered account, it will automatically link to your existing account.
After linking, you can log in either with your email and password or with Google authentication.

Invite the player you want to register from "Player management" in the menu. Signing up via the invitation link carries over their recorded stats to the new account.

Add them from "Invite a Janreco user" on the add player screen.
This links to their Janreco account, so they can also view their stats from their own account.

That's fine. However, we recommend using different player names to avoid confusion when selecting players.

Yes, you can delete it from the edit screen in "Player management" in the menu.

Yes, you can change the name from the edit button in "Player management" in the menu.

When scores are tied, points are calculated according to the rule's "Tie-break" setting.

Float-based is a rank point method used in the official rules of the Japan Professional Mahjong League (JPML). Unlike the usual fixed rank points, rank points automatically change based on the number of players whose score is at or above the return points at the end of the game (players above return).


* If all four players are above return, or all four are below it, everyone gets 0 rank points.

On the rule creation screen, switch "Rank point mode" to "Float-based", or tap the "JPML official rules" template to fill it in automatically.

Selecting float-based automatically sets the following items.

• Decimal rounding method → fixed to "Keep decimals"
• Tie-break → fixed to "Split evenly"
• Only supported for four-player mahjong (not selectable for three-player mahjong)

No, it isn't. Please adjust the points manually.

Yes. Including byes, you can select 4 to 12 players for four-player mahjong, and 3 to 12 players for three-player mahjong.

In pt entry mode, rank is determined from the entered pt, and the score is calculated automatically.
- With the "Keep decimals" rule, scores are calculated in units of 100 points.
- With any other rule, scores are calculated in units of 1,000 points. Note that if you enter a score first and then turn on pt entry mode, the score may change as a result.

Turn on "Yakitori tracking" in the settings on My Page, and a yakitori checkbox will appear on the match entry form.
Check the box for any player who got yakitori and save — you can then view yakitori records and stats on the match details and stats pages.

Go to "League list" in the menu, select the league you want to edit to open its detail screen, then edit it from the "Settings" button.

Unlike an individual league, a team league is a league format where teams compete based on their combined stats.
The sum of each team member's match points becomes the team's score, and teams compete on the team standings.
Team-league-specific analysis features let you check things like each team's stats trend and each member's contribution.

On the team settings screen, you can configure the following:

• Team name and team color
• Team logo and team description
• Member assignment (chosen from league participants)
• Ghost player and scorekeeper settings

Using the bulk team edit screen, you can edit every team's name, color, logo, and description at once.

A team can be deleted if the following conditions are met:

• No team member has any match records
• The number of teams after deletion does not fall below the minimum number of teams (based on the mahjong type)

You can delete a team from the team edit screen or the team settings screen (bulk edit).

A member can only be removed from a team if they have no match records.
If you want to remove a member who has match results, please delete those results first.

Yes, on the Free plan, up to 50 players can join a single league.
With the Pro plan, up to 100 players can join. Since this is determined by the league organizer's plan, participants' own plans don't matter as long as the organizer is on the Pro plan.

Yes, up to 15 teams per league (the same for both Free and Pro plans). There is no limit on the number of members per team.

A ghost player can take part in matches but does not appear on the standings or stats charts.
Use this when you want someone to join as a fill-in or helper without including them in the league's ranking competition.
This can be set in both individual and team leagues.

A scorekeeper is a member who doesn't take part in matches and only records match results (score entry).
This can only be set in team leagues, and requires a Janreco account.

A ghost player can take part in matches but doesn't appear in the stats. A scorekeeper doesn't take part in matches and only records results.
Neither appears on the standings or stats charts.

A player with no match records can be switched between regular member, ghost player, and scorekeeper at any time.
A player with existing match records cannot be changed.

Neither a ghost player nor a scorekeeper can belong to a team. Only regular members can belong to a team.

Yes, when you subscribe to the Pro plan for the first time, you get a 14-day free trial period.
During the trial, you can try every Pro plan feature for free.
After the trial ends, you will be charged for the plan you signed up for.

Yes, you can cancel at any time.
Cancel by the day before your next renewal date to stop the next charge.
Even after canceling, you can keep using Pro plan features until the end of your current billing period.
We don't offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

Credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are available.
Payments are processed through Stripe, which offers industry-leading security, and your credit card information is never stored on our site.

Because of the nature of digital content, this service does not generally offer refunds or cancellations after purchase.
However, a refund may be issued at our discretion in the following cases:

• When a refund is required by law
• When there was a serious problem with the service we provided
• Other cases specially approved by us

Yes, you can.
You can change your plan from "Plan management" on My Page.
The change takes effect from your next renewal date.

Even after reaching the Free plan limit, you can still use the following basic features.

• Having other players record matches for you
• Joining leagues (there is no limit on the number of leagues you can join)
• Editing and deleting your existing matches, leagues, and more
• Viewing your stats

To register new matches, leagues, or rules, you will need to upgrade to the Pro plan.
